The main goal of the group IT and Society is to promote the cross-disciplinary dialogue between technical and social sciences on IT. We want to uncover interdependencies and to discuss the impact on society. Another important goal is to strive for professionalism in the computer science profession.

The whole spectrum of ethical, philosophical, socio-cultural and educational policy issues up to hands-on economic, legal or organizational questions shall be addressed.

The group opendata.ch is committed to using data, software and knowledge for the common good. To this end, we…

• promote open, human-centered projects and infrastructure (hackathons, Prototype Fund),
• strengthen collaboration in the data ecosystem (working groups, Forum, hackathons),
• advocate for a suitable legal and political framework,
• inform and raise awareness among the public (Data Café) and
• advise and support the public administration in becoming more open, human-centered and innovative.

opendata.ch, founded in 2012, is an independent non-profit association and is part of the international Open Knowledge Network.

We are committed to the visibility of female IT professionals, their networking and support, the promotion and support of women in their professional and personal development through mentoring, the promotion of equal opportunities for women and men in IT and the creation of a positive image of IT.

Why is it worthwhile to become part of donna informatica? We support women in computer science with networking, job searching and help them to become visible. Donna informatica provides a platform for information and exchange of experiences for women in IT as well as related professions.

The goal of the SIG Freelancers is to bring the Swiss community of over 15,000 IT specialists working as freelancers or with small companies together and offer our community members added value through the exchange of knowledge and experience. This way we also improve the quality of Swiss IT services in business and society on a broader scale.
